I was just wondering why there are no O/U slug guns with fully rifled barrels. I am a big slug hunting fan and actually dream of the day when someone will make one.

I would have one built but to find a gunsmith that could take on such a task seems impossible.

Here's my specs that I'd like (just dreaming).

12 or 20 gauge fully rifled barrels
Combo barrel set, 20" barrels for bush, 26" barrels for the grain field.
Single selective trigger
Drilled and tapped for scope mount (possible 2.5 x 10 x40 Mildot scope)
Open rifle sights as well
Really nice wood furniture
Engraved receiver, muley on one side, whitey on the other.

Man o' man...... what I would sell to get one !!!:runaway:

There was another forum where this was being discussed. . . let me think, I think it was shotgunworld.com but it was side by side, not over under. . . I think, anyways.

Interesting idea, you'd think it would be easier to regulate having only one axis to worry about over the s/s.

Check out some of the better spanish gunmakers, who do made-to-order guns. That might be something they could put together without much difficulty, compared to a gunsmith anyway.

IIRC, check out Ugartechea as I know they have a S/S slug gun for boars, so they may have an O/U model somewhere in the back, too.

Well..... I am a Gunnut:dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

I have about $1600.00 into my bolt action slug gun, so what's a little more. Especially if it has another barrel.:runaway:

I don't believe Ugartechea is making an o/u right now only sxs.

I recall seeing short barrelled o/u with rifle sights from Antonio Zoli and Beretta offered their BL-2 in a buckshot/slug configuration. Neither gun is currently being produced.

If you could fing a gunmaker willing to do the job a set of rifled barrels could be sleeved into a o/u receiver but it would be very expensive.

Zoli used to make the "Woodsman". It was an O/U with 23" barrels, rifle-type sights and choke tubes.

Beretta made the "parallax" (sp) O/U for a while. It had shorter barrels, the bottom barrel was a smooth bore and the top had rifling in the last few inches closest to the muzzle.

Fabarm is currently producing a "parallax" gun similar to the one made by Beretta. Contact TSE fro more info.
