Howdy folks!

Story goes that my basement flooded and all but ruined my Sportlok Takedown Shotgun case. Luckily the shotgun itself was locked in the cabinet high and dry! I liked that case well enough, but I cant seem to find a Canadian source. So Im curious what others have for cases and sources for them.

I am not looking to spend a ####load of money on a case either though, so lets keep it sub-200 dollar ranges.

Thanks fellow nutters!

Some stores around the GTA regularly stock a similar case stamped with Browning logo. Epps, Gobles, Le Baron, Shooters Choice, Cabelas (I think I saw those there too) etc.

I had owned a number of the canvas/leather fitted cases but more prefer the leg-o-mutton types that are scaled. One would find used ones available at Epps from time to time.

You can try The Gun Dealer's used gun page... there are usually a few factory cases listed on there.

Depends if you are hung up on hard or soft sided..... I have a Maine Guide waxed canvas one from LL bean..... I think it was about $120 or so to my door.....

The LL Bean soft case is nice. SKB offers or used to offer one with similar dimensions as well. I use a similar one from Boyt - very well made and designed to last. However, the sharp brass zipper on the Boyt could easily inflict scratches on the wood if one isn't paying attention. The take-down soft case isn't bulky and require less room to pack. Only time I use a hard case is when more than couple guys travel in the same vehicle and guns/gear are cramped on top of each other.

For cheap cases it's hard to beat the SKB.

Not the best case in the world, but for under $100

Thanks,
Cal.
