I've got an over under that seems to get stiff after firing, whether its a round or snap caps but once it opens its smooth again untill the next round is fired. I"ve got a feeling its something internal, any ideas?
When you break it open after firing you are restting the hammers inside the reciever.if it seems excessively stiff maybe something is binding in there as the hammers are cocked.
What rembolt said plus some the firing pins drag out of the punch marks in the primers. Put a bit of very light oil on the firing pins. What brand of O/U?
It doesn't look like the pins are playing a part in stiffness, looks like the cocking slide locks up or stiffs up and gives it a hard time breaking the action open.
