Oakley

Huh! Well you got me there.

That might be a good place to get Oakley quality and less the price. I posted "in the game for a while" as they have been issuing Oakley gear to units for a long time.

I wonder if it was a recent acquisition of a competitor, or they founded it....
 
Looks like they were up and running with some military contracts for a couple years before they were aquired by Oakley in late 2006.
 
I've had to replace the frames from my Oakley's twice... Doesn't take much to warp them completely so the lens pops out. If that's the kind of ruggedness I'd see in their scopes, I'll stick to what I already have, thank you very much.

Besides, there are already scope makers that cater almost exclusively to the tactical/target shooting market, such as NightForce & US Optics, both of which will be hard to compete with, especially the latter.
 
Well there is a 6-12 month paid waiting list for their cameras and lens, so... Read into that what you will.
