OAL -.338LM with 300grain A-Tips

We will be loading 300 grain A-Tips in our .338 LM CIP- chambered Timberwolf. A recent suggestion is an OAL of 3.750" which is about .13" off of rifling. Any experience offered would be appreciated.

That sure sounds like a lot. Assuming a round will fit the mag, I load bullets about 20 thou off the lands, unless they are solid copper. Those I load 50 thou off.

We will try light engaging of rifling and then start seating off of the lands in in .005" increments and with 4 different charges of N570.
