1871/84 by Spandau, still not sure on the regimental markings, the shame of it is that the bore is sweet :(

Maybe a restoration project.

If anyone has a rear sight ladder for an 1871/84, I would be happy to talk with you :)

has the bolt been turned down?

now, if a guy removed the mag tube (since it has already been modified), would it qualify as an 'antique' under the law? or maybe soldered the lifting gate shut?

The bolt is bent yes, and the rear sight has been 'modified'. The finish is pretty much gone, outside of the woodline as well.
I wouldn't want to try to undo the registration, more hassel than its worth for this gun I think.

Early production features including six slot compensator, swivelling front sling loop and early birch stock.

I really need to get around to posting the latest 44 Longbranch I got this month - a real sweetheart in well above average condition. Just need to find time to take some snappies...

OK, took some snappies. Haven;t even cleaned her up yet, but hte bore is PERFECT. Wood is a little used, but overall VG+. Even has rack paint still on it ;) Should clean up to be the nicest 44 I've ever had :)

Price was one of those "knock your socks off" sort of afairs so she had to follow me home...
