Just picked up a M-10 Ross rifle its bin sport and missing the back thing not sure whats its call but its got a great bore and low serial number, sorry about crap cell phone pic
Scored a bayonet for the FR-7 bought (and shown) earlier this month... Got to mix and match to get a near mint sheath AND bayonet. Looks pretty much new and the snap is still strong on the clasp. Looks good if I do say so myself.
My October purchase, just squeeked in on the 31st.
A Ross MkIII sporter I bought from a fellow CGNer. Beautiful bore and in very nice condition overall. Cant wait to shoot it. Very good company for the MkI!
A good smith could put the bolt handle back to original and carefully tig-weld the holes from the mount - since that is a one piece, there should only be three.
i think i am just going to keep it how it is cause there no guns smith near me that i would trust and i rather buy ammo then spend a ton to get it done, ill rescope her and start shooting
One more for the October Purchases thread. After a long period of inactivity, I purchased two rifles this month.
The first is a No. 1 Mk III (no star) made by BSA dated 1911, which I picked up at the Salmon Arm Gun Show. Although only the barrel and receiver match, she's all there including the buttstock disk, magazine cutoff, windage adjustable rear sight, and front and rear volley sights. Sadly the front volley sight arm is missing, though.
The second is a M1891 Mosin Nagant made by Tula dated 1915, which I purchased from P&S (thanks again, Jean). It is a typical Finnish rebuild, with the finger jointed staock, SA marking, etc.
This completes my Main Battle Rifles of World War I collection.
