Is that an MP-28 in the background or is it an MP-18I/28?

Nice photos. I can see at least half a dozen that would look very nice on my rack.

Do you have any details on precisely what they are? Several are certainly NOT production models.

Thank you.
.

no, there was no info as to what they are.

i *think* they are from top to bottom:
1) cut-away G98
2) G98 with a rotary magazine
3) G98
4) some variation of the "flier's rifle"
5) G98 with extended box mag, no idea why the action is set so far forward in the stock.

I note that that one also has some kind of muzzle attachment, possibly a brake. I'm wondering if it is one of Paul M's recoil-operated toolroom specials.

Still nice photos.... and thanks for posting.

Damn it, I want that cut away training rifle!!! :D

Some of those other rifle variants look really weird, perhaps they are experimental examples ? Was there a reference card anywhere near the display ?

Geez, they even have an Mp18 and the Gewehr 98 T AT rifle, I can't imagine lugging one of those around, loading it, and firing. The rifle probably taller than me and I'm 6'2" !

i don't have any photos, but the military museum in dresden has a muzzleloader mounted on a post with about a 1.5" bore that the caption said was for shooting down hot air balloons in the franco-prussian war. they also have a gazelle on display supposedly shot by rommel in north africa.
