Odd question? Do they make a 455-577 reamer?

That reamer will cost over $200 delivered, the .577/450 is a black powder cartridge, the brass and dies are very expensive, by the time all is said and done you will have spent alot of money(much more then the gun is worth). Brass is around $4/ea.....dies over $100 for Lees...I'd leave it as it is and explore Bp loads with the 45/70.

If you have a metal lathe, you can make a D bit chambering reamer. Harden it spinning and then draw to golden to dark brown. Use a 1" long pilot. You also need the lathe to do the chambering. On the other hand without the ability to do the work yourself, it is probably cheaper and easier to buy a good martini.

Acklands Grainger sells an adjustable reamer under the Cleveland Twist Drill brand. Part no is GNF 649-38553 and is an A (size). This does 15/32 to 17/32.
The size B goes from 17/32-19/32. Also called a Critchley style reamer. And yes they are expensive. Made in the US though-not Chinese manuf. Carbide blades are replaceable.

Acklands sells a chambers reamer for a .577/450 Martini Henry? Does it have the shoulder in the right place, do they sell headspace gauges as well?

No, they sell a series of adjustable reamers which have a range pretty much as asked. If it is not the same thing then sorry. I know of a few smiths that have bought them in the past. Usually reamers that go from one size to another are adjustables. Beginning to sound like a special manuf tool. Good luck.

I'm sorry i must have misunderstood....I thought he was looking for a chamber reamer for the 577/450 cart., a reamer that matches a 577/450 case, as used to chamber a barrel in said caliber. This cal. has a tapered case as well as a shoulder, one of the first cases to use a shoulder to increase powder cap., a very early wildcat.
