The issue I have, as with everyone else who "bashes" CC is not their product. But their pricing. I'll tell you right now that every AR owner in candada wishes they could own a CC rifle. But it's hard to justify spending up to $1k more for a complete rifle that, for all intents and purposes, is equal to a quality made AR like DD.

I hope to one day own a CC. I hope to one day be in a position financially that i can own one.

You don't need a bigger trigger guard when the metal one is designed to swing down out of the way.

You mean from the pre-order page for the 14.5" rifles that aren't available yet that features a stock Colt Canada photo? If you bought any of the other rifles that are available from the website and in stock (11.6", 16" and 18.6" rifles), all their pages show an image with the standard A2 flash hider and no sights, which is exactly what people get.

Here is some additional info from their different listings:
11.6":
·Standard A2 flash, Ambi-Sling Plate Adapter.
·MAGPUL MOE BUTTSTOCK [M400] AND PISTOL GRIP [M415] INCLUDED.

18.6":
The MRR can easily be fitted with numerous accessories and now the M-LOK enabled accessories and rail sections. It comes with a standard A2 flash hider and ambi-sling plate adapter. The MRR is furnished with a Magpul MOE Buttstock and Magpul MOE Pistol Grip.The MRR can easily be fitted with numerous accessories and now the M-LOK enabled accessories and rail sections.

The photo from the 14.5" pre-order also shows a Magpul MIAD grip, CTR stock, back up sights, angled foregrip and an Aimpoint. Did you think that will come standard on the rifles as well? Unless they added that info to their listings after "somebody" complained, if anybody should do any homework here, it should be you. Looks like you can't read a few lines of text before buying something in the $2,400 range. This is a pathetic grasping at straws attempt and borderline retarded.

The Canadians aren't the only ones who advocate for a movable trigger guard for glove access. The Swiss do to.

When it's -45C and you are cold and wet outside for weeks and are obliged to wear arctic mittens, the lowering of the trigger guard is a good thing.

Never been an issue in 13 years.

There is a difference between range use and operationnal use. Larger aren't big enough to accomodate most warm stuff I own to work ouside for days in the winter.

Here are some things I've heard in a meeting this past August from the person who manages the Army's fleets of C7s and C8s:

These are just rumours and things that they are thinking about upgrading or changing, these are not facts and I should not be quoted on this:
-Shorter barrel in the 18.6" range (possibly with a carbine-length straight gas tube?)
-Monolithic upper like the MRR (I can't remember if it is supposed to use M-Lok or not)
-Integral suppressor
-Battery pack in the stock of the rifle, or on the person himself/herself, that powers the top rail where you can attach sights and accessories that won't need individual batteries (one big battery pack for all of your flashlights/PEQs/sights)
-New "smart" weapon sight
-Shorter charging-handle latch (oh sweet jesus finally)

The funny thing is that the final configuration of the rifle would supposedly be lighter or about the same weight as the current C7A2. Colt Canada came by this summer to "test some stuff" on the ranges and they are definitely interested and are trying out some of these ideas.
