ODPL 3-Gun Match

That was my first 3 gun match, and boy am I beat. A great time, and if I learned anything, 5 round stripper clips just don't cut it for me. That and don't play with your optics the night before if you can't re-sight them!
Looking forward to the next match, now how do I convince the wife that I really need an AR?

You may not "need" an AR.
TH3G is in the process of rejigging the div. rules to reflect what's already out there in the 3Gun world of competition...

For us poor slobs in Canada "Heavy Metal Div." could very well look like .30cal iron sighted rifles, 12ga. pump and .45 pistol
Other than the garand I believe ther are no other 30 cal semi's who's mags can legally hold >5 boolits.

That commie sks of yours would fit right into HM div.

The guys from Hamilton Tactical had a great time, this was our first 3 gun match and for 2 of us our first match ever. But it will not be our last. We had some fun with it and now that we know what to expect we can train as a group for future matches.

Also Hamilton Tactical is glad to be a sponsor and supporter of ODPL. We look forward to seeing you all again.

hopefully some one got the prizes we sent down.
Did not hear back form anyone.

BBB, I ended up with one of your no jam followers as a prize, already installed it on my defender, looks good. Also this was the first match I got to try your detachable sidesaddle, worked great, thanks for your support.

I don't remember who won it but... I'd like to hear how the steel target from northern targets performs.

I am the proud owner of the "Scout" from Northern Targets. (see http://canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=619146 ) I can't wait to get it out to use. Its hanging 10" armour plate is built to take most anything. It was easy to dissassemble to fit in the trunk. The fit and finish is excellent. The tool-less assembly is very handy. Thanks to Northern Targets for sponsoring this match with a very cool prize.

What were the different stages again? I scored really well on one of them, but I don't know which CoF it was

EDIT: dug up my range guide

Stage1: Rifle only, partial and no shoot targets with clays
Stage2: 3 gun, fire your rifle, run to staged shotgun, pop clays, dump shotgun and engage final handgun targets
Stage3: 3 gun, pistol targets, move back to barrel and hit popper, use rifle to engage swinger, final was shotgun with texas star
Stage4: Rifle and pistol, engage three columns of targets with pistol, making your way to rifle
Stage5: 3 gun, Rifle targets, then shotgun (slug and shot), then pistol through the green window
Stage6: pistol only
