And as promised, some photos.
Stage one from an angle. Door opening activated the mover. My "Bugs Bunny" mechanical pulley system (rope thru 4 eyelets connecting the door to the mover's knock down plate) worked every time and very well.
Carrying your supplies in the weak hand, shooting on the move. Could only dream of a place that would sell beer and reloading supplies here in Canada.
Second Stage. Slightly modified to allow the shooter to start either left or right side. The southpaws really liked that option.
"Damnit!... Where did that live round go". @ the start of Stage 2.
Shooting around the edge while using cover! Note the brass in mid flight. Congrats to this competitor for awesome accuracy over the event.
Trying not to hit the center No-Shoots. Seemed to be the stage which competitors had the most difficulty with shoot thrus.
Some people liked to shoot from a bit farther away from the barriers.
Stage three. Modified to enforce cover usage at the start point. Long distance shots were increased to 15 yards and hard cover indications were applied on several targets.
Hiding behind a barrel really well.
Primary RSO keeping up to watch for gun handling infractions.
Nothing like a close range hard angle target.
The final target. Some people hit the no-shoot a few yards back on shoot thrus.
As you can see. Beautiful weather. I got lots of shots with flying brass and got to try out my new 55-200mm lens (Thank you for the recommendations CILA-1. It is awesome). I was usually about 25-30 yards away taking the images. Lots of sun (My burnt forearms prove it) and a lot of fun. Whee... 27 shoot targets and a total points down of 8 using my GP-100 so I was very very happy with my performance. Mind you I rattled thru quite a few speed loaders every stage and wasted a ton of time doing it.
