The ODPL handgun match scheduled for October 8th is now open for sign ups.
Send a note to GRGC_ODPL@Cogeco.ca if you plan to attend.
Please give your name and chosen division.
Match fee is $20 payable on match day.
Shooting starts at 9am.
 
Room left for 6 or 7 shooters...

Five challenging stages planned.

Match starts at 0900 but okay if some arrive later...

Folks,

It looks like it'll be sunny and warm for tomorrows handgun match.
There are no plans to provide refreshments so pack some snacks and more importantly bring youself an ample supply of water...

Sunscreen is also recommended as there is little to shelter from that huge glowing orb in the sky while on the range.

Five stages (one partially blind) are set up and ready...

Gate will be open at 08:30 and we'll begin the match 'round 09:00.
 
This was my first ever match and definitely not my last. It was an absolute blast. Thank you gentlemen for all your hard work, you've got me hooked.
 
OK, I thought i was in SSP but my score was put in ESP. How do i decipher the scores? Remember this was my first time. Can anyone explain what all the numbers mean?

Your score sheet indicates ESP.... What type of pistol were you using?


Your total raw time (in seconds) is the time it took you to shoot all the stages
Your total penalty time is just that... the time (in seconds) for all the penalties you earned( Hitting no-shoots, Failure to Nuetrilize, Procedurals)
Points down/2 is the time in seconds added to your score
Points down is the sum of all the points down for the match

So... Raw time + points down/2 + penalty time = your final time/score.

You came in second in your division... Good for you on your first time out :dancingbanana:

I was shooting a Steyr M9A1, same as a Glock but i'm new to this so the classification could very well be ESP. I just want to make sure i sign up for the correct class. And it was beginners luck i'm sure. Thanks again
