It turns out I don't know. I was recently given a RCBS rock chucker 2 setup with a few dies, trimmer, and all the misc. bits. Ive figured out what everything is for except for this devil - what's its purpose?

It is the spent primer catcher. The 2 ears go towards the press when installing it, and you might look for a small plastic bar which goes into the slots on the ears. This will hold it from falling off. Check the RCBS website for a complete picture of the press?

I was quite sure it was the primer catcher. But i did check rcbs's webpage and I couldn't find a photo or anything. I know for a fact that the RCV comes with a different style catcher, which is why I was a bit perplexed. That, and the fact that I couldn't seem to get it to fit anywhere and stay put.
