# of HK G36 rifles in canada?

I see the G36k and G36c in the exchange forum. I did a quick search and can't find the history of this rifle in Canada.

When was it sold here and by who or is it still possible to buy one new?

Also who sells parts/barrels for them?

There were about 10 imported by the old USSR I don't know if anyone else got any in......

They were initially imported as movie props and then sold to civies. The HK found out about it and made all importers sign a end user agreement. It pretty much says that they agree not to transfer the guns over to civies. So yeah I think 10 got through before hk stopped it

Not all the Mp7 were for movie industry...

Specially not that one...

Yes there are non-restricted ones. Saw one go for as low as $5,800.

yes the non restricted is the G36E... had one, shot it, liked it, accesorized the shyt out of it and then sold it to buy my truck

The one I saw had the standard Bundeswehr optics, which is not the E model.

only if your LEO or .MIL and your commanding officer signs off on the end user cert..... and according to canadas new policy on surplus guns it cannot besold out of the Police or Military Inventory.... it will be destroyed.

It most definitely has the standard optics. The "E" model has a simplified single 1.5x reflex sight.

well there you go, since it has both optics mounted this would be the standard bundweiser rifle... , the red dot on top of the 3x magnified optic.... all you have to do is pop some pins to change optics, so maybe they where upgraded. it is also wearing a KAC RAS System for the G36.
