Of the black rifles you own... what's your favorite?

Do green ones count too? :p

Probably my Dominion Arms Socom-style .308. I know it's not cool like all the ACR's and other high-zoot stuff you guys love...but it's the only gun of this type that I didn't lose interest in shortly after buying it. If I am going to carry something that heavy and awkward, it had darned well better be shooting something with more oomph than .223 cartridges! :)

Mini-14 is a hunter/plinker/fun gun, a favourite for decades. Still my favourite .223 semi, far outstripping some other over-blown contenders like the Swiss Arms (there...I said it!) or the AR.

RFB is newish to me...loving it so far, but too soon to commit. For sure, the bullpup design has won my heart...and I can't stop smiling when I am done shooting and look down at that neat little pile of empties at my feet. :)

Restricteds? Don't know, don't care, can't play at home with 'em, no interest.

Had my ol girl for over 25 years now, never had any issues.

Simple, light, and pretty accurate. :)

Love the metal stock, no plastic. :)

I've changed my mind and retired the original AR10 in favour of something a little more modern. Imagine a Stoner 63A updated for the 21st Century and you essentiallly have the Fightlite Mission Configurable Rifle (MCR), which transitions seamlessly between belt and magazine feed. With a 3-second barrel change, overheating from the closed-bolt mode of operation is not an issue. The MCR offers all of the performance of the C9 LMG, but in a 7.5 lb (unloaded) package, firing from the closed bolt for increased, pin-point accuracy with virtually unlimited sustained fire capability allowing the seamless use of NATO STANAG mags in addition to linked 5.56mm ammo. In a word, Awesome! Reliability thus far has been 100% with 62gr linked and mag-fed ball ammo, and nearly 100% with 55gr linked ball ammo. 55gr mag-fed has been 100% reliable.

My new favorite is technically a machine pistol. But Canada being what it is, it's classified as a rifle. Its also red but will be blackish by the time Im done with it. And it is my new to me Zastava M84 in .32acp. Also known as the VZ61 Skorpian.

Its a stupid firearm all around. The caliber is not the greatest. It serves no modern day purpose. But it is a thoroughly fun gun to shoot. Once im done pimping it out. I will post some pictures of it.

The little pile of AR10s lives with me in the US. I understand the AR102 is NR up there where you are. And my other semis might be NR since they tend not to have original Dutch lowers and were therefore manufactured to be semi. But I dunno./

Damn... What are those AR10s worth? 30 grand each?

This is my favorite, a mutt xm177 ish build with a 10.5" barrel. I finally got a new stock for it, paid through the nose but it was worth it.

Shooting it with my son (I've posted these before, need to get out more and get new pics):

Great looking early CAR build! Love mine as well.

Cannot believe how many shooters comment on the simplicity and handling of what started this all, especially with the flood of flat tops.

I really like and enjoy shooting my XM 177E2. There is a lot to be said for the simplicity, light weight and resultant fast handling of the retro shorty ARs. That said, it is not quite my favorite.....
