OFAH Announces Expansion of Turkey Hunting WMU's

Who sees many turkeys in WMU 49??

Myself I have seen maybe one or two while driving the roads. I have never seen birds while hunting and I do quite a bit. Never any tracks or droppings either. We own 600 acres and hunt lots of crown land

They're very spotty in 49, but they're there in bunches where they are. We had a dozen or so at our camp just north of Sprucedale last summer. We saw our first 5 years ago.

My grandparents just across the highway in 50 are overrun with them. Thats only 15km~ away or so.

I don't need to "hunt" turkey's, right now I'm hitting about 3 a week... With a train!! Hit a lot of deer, red tail hawks , I'm pretty much a 60 mph dealer of death to all things wild, the tracks are one big vulture smorgasbord :)

OFAH does more for Ontario hunters than any other organization... if you don't want to pay, its simple... don't hunt turkeys... if you want to hunt, pay the user fee, smile and be happy that you have the opportunity.

They've also done more to #### over restricted owners than any other organization.

I'm not proud or happy about it, it's a fact of life when running trains, I have become desensitized to it after 12 years. dogs and people ,yea that stays with you for awhile, I figure if your stupid enough to get in front of a train it's the ultimate display of Darwinian law that's how we live with it, people don't realize when I have a 12000 ton train it takes me over a mile to get it stopped, then there's the suicides....
