Off for a Week of Sambar huntin! * PICS *

Well fellas, we are off for the AusHunt members hunt in the Wonnangatta, Expecting plenty of Rain this weekend comng but pretty fine weather for the rest of the week.. the bush is dry an can do with a drop or two.

got the Kimber and the Winnie 94 with me for two different styles of hunting for the different terrain between the Valley floor, and the High plains ontop of the mountains, ill be vehicle based camping the first half the week, then onto a 3 days back pack hunt for a big stag.


Catch yas all when i get back out, hopefully with a few photos a story or two of some new memories!!

had a blast in the past 24 hours guys! yesterday evening after work went for a sit and wait, as I stalked into the Wallow, this one spotted me, I spotted it, and it was game on. Nice OLD mature Sambar.
shot from appx 60m , upward with 7mm-08 140gr Woodleigh, neither projectiles exited but penetrated well.

And this Morning I met a mate at a Spot X just off the HWY and snuck up a Gulley system, Lucky but unlucky, I shot the Second hind in a group, the 3rd Ended up being Another Solid Stag, was unable to fire on a clear picture as he burst off.... but a last day hunt for a group of Hunters meant if Brown take it Down, and mum got her much needed Dog meat
