Official note from rcmp

It should be noted, uppers for all other newly prohib models (vz58, mini14, M14, etc) are NOT prohib.

The upper receiver prohibition o ly applies to sec.87 of the OIC, which is for the ar10-ar15-m16-m4 models.

Youza.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic? Those models you listed do not have upper receivers (VZ58, Mini-14, M14).

OK let me rephrase that. I didn't even think about the fact the 3 I quickly typed had no uppers...what I should've said was simply :

The upper receiver prohibition only applies to sec.87 of the OIC, which is for the ar10-ar15-m16-m4 models.
In other words, it is only for those models and variants that a previously unregulated receiver or receiver part becomes prohib.

Sorry for the confusion, brain fart, reading and typing too many words without having fully processed them.

Youza.

I made an account to say that I purchased a CQ-A1 about 3 weeks ago and have been waiting on transfer. After today's news, I contacted the seller to see what we should do. We phoned the CFO and they said the serial listed is not on their ban list and we are only waiting on the long Ontario processing. Then CFO ends the call advising that a new list can be provided anytime. So much for fair, openness and transparency with our Public Service ):

To evwryone going few mine were missed. This is the firat list. They have daid they plan to expand it, and add a new legal frame work to classify anything they feel fits their undefined military style bull####. Your next, then they move onto the hunting guns.

Didn’t you know all hunting rifle s are Sniper rifle s .

Guys read what's on the list, if it's not on the list I don't see why asking if it's banned. Go for a boat ride

To clarify, references to:

"Components and Parts of Weapons, Accessories, Cartridge Magazines, Ammunition and Projectiles"

are only about the TITLE of the regulation. There are NO changes listed involving parts, accessories, cartridge magazines, ammunition or projectiles... EXCEPT for UPPERS.
