Hi
I am currently working on a new f-class stock for my 223. Think of it as a modular stock, wood and aluminium. There will be a pistol grip, and a piece of aluminium angle under the buttstock to ride the ears of the bag. My question, if I offset the rear aluminium angle by about 3/4 inch to the left looking up (to clear my wrist, right handed shooter), will the tracking be affected ?
If I shoot without touching the stock (free recoil) I see a tendency for the rifle to jump a bit to the left. By offsetting the rear bag to the left, I could help this jump, and clear my shooting hand.
Now understand, I never shoot free recoil in f-class, I tried it a couple of time at my 100m local range.
I will make 2 stocks, one for me with a 223 shooting 80 or 90 grains bullet, and a friend of mine how will be shooting 200 in his 308.
I'm listening
