Is there any possible way to filter posts and responses from this forum out of the new posts search?

That’s all, IYKYK. It’s a spammy mess.

Welcome

Not sure....

Do you and your crew read anything ?

Or just cause it’s in this sub you gurantee yourself a post ?

They’ve been here 8 years longer than you.
They’re just asking a question. Not starting a new account

I think it would help if the welcoming committee simply just chilled out a bit.

This thread is a prime example.

I’ll comment on some of the “new here” posts. But usually if I have something to contribute or relatable to their intro post.

Been asking since 2.0 of we can filter or exclude introduction section from new posts.

https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/threads/able-to-deselect-introduction-in-new-post.2470144/

Wake up hit new posts, and its the same bunch of people spamming welcome. There is a screen shot litterally a full page is the same person spamming welcome. That is a full page of other posts being pushed out.

Esp when you see above, ppl that don't even read the post and spam. Its sad and pathetic.

Or put effort in welcoming, than just spamming for the sake of a post count.

Ive made a post just to prove the robots dont read posts. Been issue even back in 2015, before philly. There were other robot greeters.

And

Some people actually like to be greeted

Its a small community and some like to be greeted into it. It makes them feel good and that makes me feel good.

Dont be so butt hurt over a simple greeting lol
Greeted, but actually put effort in it and not robot spam, because you too lazy to read the main post.

Its not warm and fuzzy when its a copy paste no effort in it.

My point is actually just that there are quite a few forums automatically excluded from that button at the top. News digest for example.

Why not this one?

Used to exclude it. But 2.0 you cannot. Made this stuff less annoying, as don't got a page and half of no effort welcome spams.

Or 1 person a full page wasted in new post. Going down every introduction and spamming welcome.

Funny you can exclude prefixes.

I’m positive that it’s simply an admin level coding issue. I don’t really care how or why people post in here, but lately with legions of old users having to re-register, it just becomes noise frankly.

So welcome to all the old users who had to re-register and came back glad to see you again, etc., etc. Welcome to all the new users also.

That’s it.

So are low level humans or robots just welcoming everyone to get their post count up? I welcome people if they are within 100km or so. I’ve made friends that way, but is it just a bot thing or people trying to get their posts up for better ee status or something? Slimy people.

But mods or admins wont see this.

Pretty sure they dont even come here unless posts get reported.

Again my biggest issue is those that go down and spam welcome, and I get a full page of topics I don't care about. When I hit new posts.

Greeters serve a very useful function and I'm glad they are here.

I also want to know which long term members saw all the warning messages in the CGN 1->2 transition to update their email and fix up your passwords and thought "that could never happen to me, that's for other people" or "I can put dealing with this problem off until later" since it is such a great analogy for the current firearms legislation problem.
