What have I done????????? Bought a Russian SKS refurb from Tenda for 199...

I..............am............one...............of................yous..........................now

:runaway: :runaway: :runaway:

Any one pick one of thes up from Tenda? Its the one with the nice hardwood stock, originally $259.

Did I do good:confused:

I missed those. I was at Tenda last night to buy a TT33. Hopefully they've got some left when I go to pick up. 199 is a good price.

Any beater refurb at 200 is a crap shoot. It can be anything from a burned out plinker to a barnacle covered virgin barrel. Look closely at what you're buying and check for warning signs that this is a junker.
If you can't find any such signs, then put your money down.

Price doesn't mean much, I have some non refurb beauties for $169. And some very nice refurb izzys I got at a CTC sale for $150 a pop a few months ago,, the refurbs are great for shooters as everything has been gone over and replaced if necessary!
$199 for out west is pretty good, ours are going a bit with hardwood stock refurbs going for $179 - $199 and $20-$30 more for laminate! I like the look of the hardwood best, but there are some very nice dark cherry laminates too!

I don't worry much about the stock. There's just too much aftermarket to take care of that. It's the metalwork that really drives me. As long as you can find a good action, you can build an awesome classic or Bubba any way you want.

Ya, maybe check back in when you've got at least 10 ;)

I'm spinning the big online wheel, no idea what I'll get. It'll end up being a beater or a plinker for "she whoust be obeyed" anyway. Not expecting much for $200.
Tenda has only been on our site for a while but folks have been pleased with what they offer, I think you will be quite happy! The SKS is a well built semi and is worth much more than they go for! The ammo is going up in price so when you find a deal, buy it cheap and stack it deep!

Many people are telling me that x39 is going to become less available. I have not been able to decide if they are generalizing based on experiences
with .303 and 30-06 surplus ammo or if they have insight into world supply availability.

Just experience with x39 itself, gone up 50% ish locally over the last year or so and on line even more!! Locally it was already a bit high whereas on line prices were good, now x39 is quickly closing in on .223. Especially the non corrosive! Oddly enough, right now the best price is local CTC just because he wants to cut his pallet down a bit, he usually just sells to locals in 20 round paks! $275 for a crate of Russian, not bad!
Edit: I don't personally think availability will be a problem/ just price, unless Justin pulls a fast one on imports! Also Canam has a supposed unlimited supply of non corrosive coming soon, just need to see the price!

That is the question! I'm restraining myself now from buying a cheap corrosive x39 for $275-285 per crate waiting for that announcement from CanAm! When is it going to happen!?

August-ish. I'm doing the same thing and wondering if I am being stupid? Last year I snoozed about buying for $240 corrosive and $300 non-corrosive.

Ditto, hope Canam comes through, I am thinking of more corrosive at $275. 1440 rounds, or new non corrosive at?? The corrosive may go up between now and then, Marstar has given a warning that his will go up again, usually the rest drive their price up in turn!
