Oh my word...

you are not eligible to be a director of the sks club until you have 2 dozen rifles in a crate and 24000 rounds of 762x39
my dream is one day that Canada has 1M sks rifles
what are we at now 100000 rifles in country?

Probably double that. That's just how many WestRifle brought in over the years. Doesn't include all the Chinese SKS that Marstar brought in, the smaller batches brought in by the independent dealers, the sizeable amount brought in by Lever Arms, and on and on...

To the OP: Jerk. I'd weaned myself from buying more SKS's. I'd convinced myself I had "enough" of them to get by. Now I'm rethinking that position again. Is there such a thing as having "enough" SKS's? I mean, I have a kid. They'll need one. And eventually the grand kids. And great-grand-kids... And great great grand-kids...

I have to think about the future of the family...

Now you guys are making me feel guilty, I just ( 10 minutes ago) told my neighbour that I would sell him one of my "extra" SKS! I have 5 refurb izzys, parkerized, look nice, got them for $150 + tx a piece.
By the way. You CAN have enough SKS , but you can never have too many!

Bottom line is, the price WILL go up and, sooner or later, you WILL use it.
Or at least your descendants will...
My dad had a locked walk in closet with bottles of cognac and jars of Tasters Choice, among a ####load of of other "convertible currencies".
It never hurts to hoard.

I too have a VZ52/57 without the scope rail. It appears to be brand new and I have never fired it. Bought it in 1995 for $100.00. I also have Yugo, Russian, Chinese and D SKS's.

Here are some pics. The Yugo is on the way, but hasn't reached here yet so I threw in the VZ58 in it's place. I'll post the Yugo when it arrives, cheers.
