Oh no, another newbie...

Looked up some other videos on the Hunter O/U and other than it lacks ejectors it's pretty much spot on what I'm looking for. Can ejectors be installed or not worth it? I didn't get a reply from the EE lister either. But for $450 I think I'd be a lot happier with that than a single.

Truly appreciate the post, Totten.

I don't think you can install ejectors on it and the cost would be so high that it would be easier to just buy a more expensive gun with ejectors to start with. Ejectors are cool but if you watch Olympic trap they don't even use them.

Yes they do, the common practice for bunker (international) shooters is to deflect the hull(s) into the basket with your hand or catch the hulls as they eject and drop them into the basket. In the video cited you can hear the click of the ejector firing after each shot for most of the shooters (some guns have louder ejectors than others). They just aren't letting the hulls fly freely. I personally have ejectors on all my guns, and catch the hulls (for reloading) as I open the gun. I can't stand extractors, I don't like having to pick the hull out of the gun (it slows me down). To each his own.

Yes I am aware their guns have ejectors but using their hands to stop it defeats the purpose. Ejectors serve the purpose of saving you from having to put your hand there. Extractors work fine especially if your budget is under $500 .

Ejectors are also a big contributor to clay fields being regularly littered with hulls that people have been to lazy to pick up once kicked out of the gun.

I know it is not a "trap gun" but I picked up a old Win model 12 and have rescently got more involved in trap shooting, I love that old gun, I shot my first straight 25 with it and the following week shot a 49 out of 50 with it. I shoot the model 12 way better than my 1100 for some reason. you can pick these old model 12,s up for around $300 on the EE., they are a classic old work horse that wont let you down. They do kick a bit so maybe a better recoil pad might be an idea.
