I have no idea what RDS is but I just installed a peep sight on my 1954 Winchester 94 in 30-30.
Thanks Clary, or ctw, it finally showed up and good as promised.
It's on and now I have rubbed Heuy, Leuy and Deuy red.
There is the up/down and right/left adjustment.
All works but there must be a starting point.
I can also see the rear sight.
Not a big hinderance once I pulled the sight elevator down to the lowest point.
What am I getting at?
I'm asking for a step one, two, three so to speak. Pull the rear sight?
How far up?
Some of you have walked this walk and some pointers would be muchly
appreciated.
Gloves are off so have at'er. :p
P'renticing now and this is my first peep sight.
My eyes ain't just so anymore and this old girl deserves something other than
a set of bino's on her.
Thanks in advance.

If this is a tang sight, site in the barrel sight for say 50 or 100 yds, now sight in your tang peep sight for longer yardage, that will put it well above your rear sight. When out hunting keep the tang sight folded down for close shots and bring it into play for longer shots, or remove rear sight and put in a dovetail blank if there is a dovetail cut.
