These are new receivers individually built by OOW on an exclusive semi-automatic-only tooling; some of the other parts such as stocks and so on are original USGI issue stocks taken from destroyed and demilled M1918 BARs. Since parts are extremely limited and the semi-auto tooling is very time and work intensive, these rifles are built one by one, to order, and are subject to OOW's standards of quality at every stage of the build.

OOW's products have an excellent reputation for quality in the United States and are known for more than just their BARs -- they make excellent AK47 receivers and a semi-automatic M240 Self-Loading Rifle as well. They also produce a licensed copy of the VZ58 for the US market to comply with US import laws. They have a great attention to the quality of their machining and finishing and it shows -- their BARs are machined better in many places than the originals were.

They are in .30 caliber (30-06). Beautiful rifles. Unfortunately they sell for $5700 up here with our low currency. They go for $4000-$4300 south of the border.

These are $5375 in Canada, not $5700. And they're shipped nationwide with insurance and signature for just $10!

$5375 with tax and shipping?

I think Callahan was just being realistic about the cost and not negative to the firearm itself.

I want one bad and the finger is itching to just give and order it.

Wow, my Barrett M99 cost less than that! Nice toy, but jeeeeeeeezuz that's way overpriced for a reproduction.
All the power to ya if you can afford one.
