Ohio Ordnance Works M240-SLR

I looked at it at SHOT Show. I talked with the guy for about 30 mins. I forget his name I have his card somewhere. He was actually very knowledgable about Canadian gun laws. He has worked in Canada because Ohio Ordnance did contracting work for the CF. He knew if they wanted sell them in Canada they would have to send in a sample to the RCMP. The receiver is narrower than a M240/C6. You can not put any M240/C6 parts in it. It is a complete different receiver than the M240/C6. Uses different parts and a redesign trigger pack. The way he described it to me, is it's basically a big heavy semi-auto rifle. Hence SLR.

Sorry Guys, as neat as it is we currently have no plans to import such a pricey belt fed model.

Something interesting is in the works though......

Thanks,

Anyone here know if it's possible and legal to get a semi-auto Browning M2 or M3? I picked up an M3 recently that was all welded up, in hopes of restoring it as a showpiece. Maybe I shouldn't waste my time on a neutered version if the real deal is a possibility....
Apologies if this isn't the right forum. It just seems we have some knowledgeable belt fed folks here ;)

To my knowledge it's illegal to reactivate a gun in Canada.
