OIC. Need another semi rifle in a meantime.

If i have to pick one for fun and reliability other than a SKS, the WK180C as been stellar ( we have 2 ), they are workhorses.

Whatever the OP chooses , now is the time to buy before the back door registry via the dealers kicks in . If Trudeau and his buddies don't know that you have it , then it is tough to seize it as they will undoubtedly keep adding guns to the prohib. list .

My rfb had flawless function with thermold magazines after the gas system was adjusted properly for the ammo. Was a 1moa gun with factory loaded premium ammo for 3 and groups, after 3 rounds it would open up to 1.5

I would get a M10x before paying similar money for a type 81

There was a post not long ago about the bren 2 receiving a restricted frt but that was based on barrel length, so longer barrel will be NR, but you are going to have to wait.

I never liked the tavor, but that is more my personal preference, sure it has military lineage, but the accuracy is just not there for me. If I can get 1moa groups with the rfb, and put rounds in the same hole with a desert tech, I should be able to get a decent group with any bullpup provided the rifle is capable

Unfortunately the FRT issued was for a pistol variant so a longer barrel length would not make it non restricted. To further complicate things the RCMP have since removed the FRT entry. There is currently no FRT entry for any variant of the CZ Bren 2. Further to that IRG has confirmed through correspondence with the RCMP that a sample must be submitted for classification as they (RCMP) do not currently have a sample.

Not the news I was wanting to hear.

There were 2 FRT for both pistol and rifle versions... but they did disappear.

Everything will be banned sooner than later, buy what you want out of what's left and enjoy it while you can.

I would rather people bought expensive rifles and fought to keep them/forced the government to pay compensation rather than cheap ones and just hand them over willingly because the monetary loss is acceptable to them

I have faith in the legal challenges, especially with the CCFR's one.

On the Bren2, I assume the CDN importer did submit an NR rifle sample if I interpreted what I heard correctly in a casual conversation. But that will be an EU gun, so if someone wants to import a US version of course there isn't a sample submitted.

If we want to keep the gun culture alive, everyone needs to keep buying products or there won't be a viable industry around. This " I don't want to buy something because I am afraid of getting stuck with a paper weight" mantra will kill the industry and the sports, before the Liberals actually kill it with more gun laws.

Quoted for truth!!!

I picked up a Tavor in 5.56 from a cgn member and LOVE it .
You should get the Tavor 7 if you want a bigger caliber . They are fantastic .
If the turd etal try to ban it I will be screeching Antisemite !! at the top of my lungs at them . How dare they even attempt to ban my Israel made rifle !
If you think leftist women can be shrill and annoying , just wait until you hear pissed off Conservative women . Once riled up , we don’t go halfway .

From talking to folks in the gun business , that is exactly what’s happening . People are buying lots right now .
