Oil makes shells stick in chamber?

I think so, since I had this gun it basically spent 8 months outside exposed to the elements, with cleaning and lubricating at night.

I don't know what Krown has in it but it makes rusty metal blue, I might put it on for storage

Krown is supposedly linseed oil with agents added to make it 'creep' and the oil itself will mos def go tacky-hard. Great on vehicles, on firearms not so sure.

You may want to read up on gun oils and their properties. Basically you want an oil that does not gum up over time .... or turn into a grease ...

For example WD-40 is known to gum up over time and so that trigger mechanisms, firing pins and extractors don't work any more.

I am using only Ballistol on my guns ..... because it has proven itself for over 100 years .... and it does not gum up fine mechanics ....

Polish that chamber ... and use a proper gun oil that does not gum up ..... and all should be fine.

I meant Crown for long term surge of firearms that almost never get used, that will be cleaned before shooting. I don't like WD40I don't know why it got such a reputation shouldn't, I basically only use it to start engines. Thanks for the tip on Ballistol.

On my little 22S I've used Remington action cleaner only only because there's so much greedy powder left after shooting but it seems to work I've used Remington action cleaner / lubricantonly only because there's so much greedy powder left after shooting but it seems to work. Didn't try it on this gun yet
