I just got some Canadian BDX bullets - 9mm 124gr.

They look great but they are all lightly coated with oil/lubricant of some kind - which I have never encountered before.

I loaded up 100 rounds and I couldn't understand why my left hand fingers were getting oily. Then I stuck my hand in the bag and realized all the bullets were oily.

Has anyone else seen this?

Do I need to clean it off before loading and shooting?

Thanks

it is part of the manufacturing process. you must have a really old bag of bullets since BDX cleaned this up about 6 months ago. they changed the oil and changed a process. i would definitely suggest tumbling after loading to take the lube off.

I've noticed the lube. Pulled bullets have some powder stuck to their base because of it. Nonetheless, I've loaded em, stored em, then shot em. No washing and no problems whatever so far.
