He's right. 490 FPS rating. But I think penetration is good. It will send a pellet through the top of a can and out the bottom at 25 yards.![]()
Critters? Lets see....that gun with a 14 gr. pellet will put out around 8-9 ft. lbs of energy....stick with headshots on squirrels and grouse at 15 yards or less....apart from that, stick to paper and cans.

Ok, I'll bite. What are the "varmint capabilities" of a .177 pellet airgun that shoots at around 450 FPS?
Truth be told, I haven't used mine much since I bought a whole bunch of .22 LR's (never can have too many!). Back in the (pre-PAL) day, though, it was all I ever used to punch paper.
