ok, help me find the scope for me

kind of a weird take to have unless something personally happened before?

Do you understand that the reticule is literally the same size at all mag's with a SFP? There's no way it covers any more of your target at 24x then it does at 6x.

IMO, the best value I have been able to find is Riton; I have a 4-18 on my 6.5 swede, and a 6-24 on my bench rest .22. Clear, repeatable great reticles, reasonably priced, and lifetime warranty. I'm sold.

Have you thought about an air rifle scope? The Hawke line of scopes are excellent on a .22 rim fire.

I used to shoot a lot of gophers... back then I sure could have used this scope. I have it now and no gophers. I alway held over and off for windage rather than adjust the scope for each shot. I had a pistol with a custom heavy barrel and a small scope. I could regularly nail gophers at 100 yards with it off a bag. My rifle maybe out to 150 once in a while. But it felt good when you had the right hold and the "plop" echoed back.

Some folks that have them say they are fine for what they are.

I did state I was tempted, Dennis.
And believe it or not, at my age I allow myself to make my own decisions. 😁
