OK, how many are waiting for the next marstar M305s?

I am waiting Marstar's next shipment, I just can't bring myself to pay the outrageous prices people are asking for them in the EE.

Send an email to the Mods asking to be let into the Gun and equipment trading area, some good deals there.

I have one in the EE if you look at what it's selling for and what your getting the price is cheap. Try putting a good package together with top notch parts and you will find yourself about 400-500 higher. So I can understand some of the prices and not so on others.

I have two held for me, I thought one would be enough but I find myself ordering parts for a 2nd build before I even have the rifle.
The EE with the 100 to 150 dollar add charge to a bone stock m305, add another 25 -30 for shipping, is pretty crazy. I'll wait for the shipment.

The last one i bought cost me $570.00 after taxes and shipping.

I think that is to be noted. There are some fair deals out there like the one listing a 'NIB' for $5xx odd shipping included. Marstar will charge you shipping and tax as well..then if you happen to pick up any accessories, that drives up the costs again.

If a EE seller has a bunch of accessories, parts and etc, it might be reasonable to ask for a seemingly high cost. eg a new USGI bolt is rarely low $200s and usually closer to $300, then you have to get it lapped it.

My Dad just told me yesterday he was set on buying one. I personally haven't had much interest in one (ok a little bit) but now he's on my case to sleuth one out.. I e-mailed Marstar about when they are getting there next shipment so Ill just have to keep checking the site.

Hmm..actually it's just a saying...equivalent of 'Birds of a feather, flock together' in common English.

:)

You guys should keep tabs on the Epps website. They seem to get a few of these in when nobody else does, and then they're sold out quickly. I have two that I got there, both times just saw it on the website, drove down, and picked up the gun.

IMO calling is more personal then emailing, and you will probably get a faster call back when they do arrive.

Oh and buy a 20/5 rounder at the same time to save on shipping. because you know you want it.

I could go for one with the folding stock (stickied link) and a rail mounted on the front for that vertical grip with a bipod built into it. But I've been on their waiting list for 305's for months, just got a Tokarev and Mossberg ATR, if they get the 305's in soon I won't have the spare cash!

The thing that bothers me the most is that if I get a 305 I can't justify scoping it, as a decent mount costs nearly half the rifle again! I can't do that, my superego has a big flashing neon sign saying, "Disproportionate expenditure, danger, danger.".

Luckily people say they've got the best iron sights ever made.

Although it feels odd, the actual quality of the product, not the price, should dictate how much you can justify spending on it.

If it makes you feel better, I'm sure Marstar wouldn't say no to you paying M1A prices for it if it makes you sleep better at night. ;)

Anyone see that garand tanker for sale in the EE?
Apparently they are much like the 30-06 but with better recoil. Can't imagine why anyone would chop up a perfectly good M1 for a bit better recoil, but whatever.
I hijacked my own thread I guess, but it seems this is now "how to kill time until the slow boat from china gets here." thread.

Has anyone priced out all of the parts on the one in the EE for a grand. Totaled up it comes to 1600-1700.if you include shipping it shouldnt be over $1050.00. Once most buy the 305 your looking for an arms 18, USGI stock and have to do mods and paint, then you have to scope it. not so bad once you figure things all out and you have nothing to do but go out and shoot.
