OK, how many are waiting for the next marstar M305s?

In the mid 1980's Atlantic Ordnance was selling Tanker Garands for about $1000 CDN. I think they were coming from the U.S.. I'd love to pick that one up in the EE forum but no funds at the moment. It seems like a very good price.

I probably would have got that tanker If I hadn't picked up the AIA, but one thing I have found in my short time here is that great deals pop up pretty often in the EE.

The thing that bothers me the most is that if I get a 305 I can't justify scoping it, as a decent mount costs nearly half the rifle again! I can't do that, my superego has a big flashing neon sign saying, "Disproportionate expenditure, danger, danger."

So if you got a rifle for $1, you'd never be able to even refinish the stock or put a recoil pad on it.

The fact is that the current M305 is a $1000 dollar rifle. If John could legally export them, they'd be flying out his door for $900 US, and the Yanks would be happy as hell.
Look around on the US gunboards. 20 year old polytech M14's are going for 500-600 USD

HA ha I just broke down and picked up one of the ones in the EE, comes with a pretty nice GI stock, might try my hand at painting it OD or black, and scope mounts. Looks like a good deal to me.
