I have now gotten a swab jammed in the breech end of the barrel. It is one of those kit-n-caboodle swabs on the end of the flexible pull. Any suggestions other than taking it to a gunsmith? This really really really really ticks me off.
 
LOL....you are not the first...trust me.


Try to push it out with an appropriately sized cleaning rod from the muzle
Try sending a blast of compressed air down the barrel from the muzzle
Pour some oil down the barrel and repeat above

Last resort(s): Fill the barrel 1/2 up with water, fit a wooden dowel that fits closely in the barrel down till it touches the waqter, then give it a huge smack with a hammer to hydraulic it out.

Remove the barreled action from the stock, remove the trigger group, and go at it with a propane torch, getting the barrel HOT. You should be able to get the swab to melt before hurting tha barrel at all.
