OK, I want to make a close-cut clone of a Delisle carbine... What now?

Yes, I have most of the needed parts but I have yet to find the necessary sequence of events to make a correct-looking shooter (non-operating silencer, of course).
If my memories are right, a long time ago, I think Smellie or Cantom had sent me a description of all the stumbleblocks I would meet on the way...
If you're reading this, could you please contact me?
Thanks guys!

Remember to replace the extractor, and you might have to fine tune it to feed reliably, since some folks have said they had issues with jams. Off the top of my head you'll need to have a front sight bead properly welded to the fake can, and lined up with the rear, be it leaf SMLE-style or peep No4-style. Then you need to cut the stock right to mate with the wide fake can, get a nice wartime finish on there, maybe lift it above your head and scream about krauts. I've got my own Delisle project going on, but im still waiting on that bbl and magazine adapter to come in the mail.

Is it your intent to make a detailed, accurate reproduction of a Delisle, but with a full length barrel running through the casing?
If so, the receiver must be bored out from the front, so that the barrel can extend back into the action. The bolt is shortened, and the barrel is machined with a shroud that covers the upper front of the bolt head.
The first step would be to make a set of plans/drawings, reverse engineering all the dimensions. This should be possible by working from available drawings, and using known dimensions of a given part to calculate the dimensions of other parts.
"mudpuppy" has posted photos of his reproductions here, and at w ww.weaponsguild.com.

Thanks guys!
I'm at the "collecting plans" stage but one of my colleagues, who happens to be a full-fledged machinist, is interested in the project.
Since I have TWO complete barreled actions, I guess he'll be more than happy to help!
