OK, I'm dumb and need your help -- Lumley Arms T3 bolt handle problem

I recently acquired a Lumley Arms T3 bolt handle and shroud.

The shroud is top quality and slid on without issue. Very nice upgrade.

The Titanium bolt handle, on the other hand, was WAY too tight. No chance of it going on without some careful filing. I know the manufacturer says they designed it with "0 tolerance" for a "tight fit", but this is ridiculous! I doubt they test fit it. I spent a better part of an hour fiddling with it, and ended up putting gouges in it. No way it was going in. Off to the grinding wheel...

Well, I guess I was too aggressive with the griding wheel, and now there's some play between the bolt handle and bolt body.

I am such a dumb a$$... I suppose I was a bit too excited and got carried away.

Any suggestions before I toss the bolt handle and order another? BTW, if I were to do it all over again, I would order stainless steel. "Areospace grade Titanium" is WAY too soft.

Thanks!

Show us some pictures of your handi work.
Maybe, just maybe there is a way to save it, then again I am a big fan of JB Weld as I usually fix things till they brake and JB to the Rescue.

Mine was really tight as well. I ended up filing it to get it in place. That was the first one I installed. The second one went onto the other gun with no problem.

Well whoever wants it, can have it for the cost of shipping. I will be keeping the bolt knob. Coretac solutions is sending me a new handle at a reduced cost. Those guys are first class and highly recommended!

My handiwork looks like it came off the factory floor. It actually fits ok, but there's just a SLIGHT bit of play, and it just bugs the hell out of me because it shouldn't be there. Perhaps it will fit your bolt handle better.

I put my replacement Lumley Titanium handle on. It was tight, but I managed to push it 3/4 of the way into the groove and for the last 1/4 I tapped it in with a rubber mallet. No play. Very nice. Head's up... grinding may not be necessary. They're designed to go in tightly (0 tolerance), and the Titanium is just soft enough to ensure that the bolt body is not damaged.
