I have to address the elephant in the room:
Let's talk about the stain on the faux sued chair. It's not urine, is it? Was a friend drinking in the chair, when the stain mysteriously appeared? Have you tried oxy clean? Is the cushion upholstered on the other side, or is this the good side? Maybe if you didn't lay spikey things on it, you wouldn't have stains... just saying...

That thing is certainly not 100 years old. Is it painted (suncorite), it looks blued?

Seller thought it was a bayonet for a No 4 Mk 1 Enfield- Obviously not, but what is it? Tent pole base, flag pole stand??? May not even be military. Anybody care to enlighten?
That is not floating in front of a chair- it is perched on the arms and photoed from above- the stain is prob a spilled drink. But I am curious as to what the spike might be.

It actually looks like one third of a surveyors tripod base...just a guess.
I still think it is something to the effect of what I first said... you see that pin with a keeper pin I bet you can make that taller. The other thing it maybe is a breaching spike of some kind pointy end in the jam of the door and the other part is a slid hammer.

OTOH, it could be for an armoured Unicorn! Betcha never thought of that!
Or possibly for trench use, fastening fascines down until you can cover them with dirt to make a proper parapet.....

It looks like the base for the center pole of a large tent I used to have.
The top of it fits up into the butt of an aluminum/titanium pole about 12 feet long. The pole was in two pieces. there was another insert with two sections that were similar to the top piece of the unit in your pic. Then there was a cap with a similar piece on the bottom.
The spike on the unit in the pic is removable as it was on mine. Likely for safety purposes.

A Trench "Pike" would have been used to change the thought process of your enemy if he {and his buddies} thought it a good idea to jump into your trench, or would have been handy if one were to jump into the enemies trench system.
Why a "Pike" confuses me in the first place. I would think the 1907 bayonet attached to the No1 Mk111 would be more than sufficient...and it'll shoot! We don't know how long the pole that the head was affixed to was though.

Pretty sure this came issued with a large set of cohones!! Never saw one of these before, is that called "Opener, Canned Milk, Mk 1 " ?
Yeah a set of brass balls to go with the brass nuckles on that thing.
Correct me if I'm wrong but a believe it's called a "d ring knife" and actually one of the few types of edged weapons that are prohib in canada.
