Anyway, to explain what you can't see in the pics, its hinged by a pin and it has a spring keeping it up at about 25 degrees, the bottom is curved to fit onto the handguard I am guessing, and theres 4 small holes for screws or bolts, and 1 larger unthreaded hole.
It can be raised or lowered by using a hex bolt I had, and locked at various heights with a small hex screw, making large elevation adjustments simple.
I am wondering if mounting this to the handguard, it will hold zero?
I was thinking epoxy and small bolts to keep it secure, but is the guard going to move at all? Other scout mounts I saw mounted onto the barrell, so it's new to me. Thanks guys,

Liam

I think you will be disappointed with the results. m14 scout mounts require you to cut a hole in your handguard and then the mount secures to the barrel (like you said). If you just epoxy that mount to a handguard its going to break off or it wont hold zero. See if you can track down the rest of the mount...or is this even for an m14? Where did you get it? You might be able to track down the rest of it from the original retailer.

Yeah, no clue as to how thats supposed to be mounted but for better pictures see if you can find the macro mode on your camera! it will be the little flower icon that should help in photo quality!
