Hi,
I own a decent Mossberg 500 combo kit from Cabelas in 2014. I payed $325 for the 28" vented barrel with fixed mod choke and the 18.5" cylinder choke barre combo. Not too shabby. They seems to sell that combo kit for $459. The only big issue with the cheap combo kit is that the forearm is of the riveted variety. So hard to replace it.

Now, I'm not a hunter, I use the 18"5 barrel to shoot 00 buck and slugs at the range. The brass bead is a little bend out of alignment. I'm thinking bringing it to a smith. any replacement bead that would be more Tactical, better visibility? Is it cheap to have it replaced? I mean it seems that a small wrench could get the actual bead unscrewed and I possibly buy myself a bead and do it myself? Are the bead threads standard?
Need advices plz!
