Ok so I got my ammo sorted out, now I need some tips on how to effectively call.

I have a non electronic distressed rabbit call, now how frequent should I be using it when calling the dogs in, should I decrease frequency as they get closer?

How bout blowing the call, should I give it all I have or just blow normally through it?

Thanks for the help.

A lot depends on the land and how well you know it, where they bed and so on.
Calling i always assume they are near by (100 acre farms) so I always call low at first.. but maybe they heard or sniffed you walking in to youre set up, if they did, that ones gone but there still maybe more in the bush.
If you can make a sound like two yotes fighting after youve called, it will bring in even the oldest wisest dirt dog. Best of luck and kill every coyote you can. :)

Listen to some recordings. Practice makes perfect. I've got a jack rabbit and a cottontail call. Seems some time the one works and sometimes the other. If the magpies are coming, you're doing good. :) I'd wait another month or so. Pelts are hardly worth having now If you're in a field, watch the fence line. Sometimes they like to hang up there and eye ball the situation. Shot a couple who jumped on top of a round bale to see what the commotion is about.
