Just tried shooting clays today with my little 14 inch 'Rinco HP9

WHAT a riot!! LOL Had a friggin blast... The guys at the range were doing an informal sunday shoot, and asked if I wanted to try it out.. I said I had my shotty in the truck, but it wasn't really for skeet. They said try it anyways.. I did.. You shoulda seen the looks when I pulled out this 14 inch shotgun with a red dot and saddle for shells, and a heat shield... They were like.. "are you a cop or something? That looks like it should be a Jane and Finch in Toronto!" :D

Anyways, I only shot at 10 clays, and I got 7... The old timers there were mighty impressed considering the 14 inch barrel, and my first try at the game. I actually did better with my cheap norinco than a couple of the guys did with their $3000 Bennelis!! LOLOL

Anyways, I can CERTAINLY see how this sport would become addictive in a HURRY! And, I can always put a longer barrel on the HP9 if I decide to shoot more clays with it..

Anyways, just wanted to "share"... (I hate saying that...)

:D

Me and Armament went skeet shooting with 18.5" Rem 1100 and a 12.5" Rem 870, We had a blast. 12.5 was actually better for the skeet then my semi LOL...

That's what I like to hear. Newbe welcomed by the regulars and shown a good time. I've shot Trap & Skeet for many years ...and they are fun. But, Sporting Clays is IT for me.:D:D Keep at it! It's a great game and you'll meet great people.

It was just a fluke that this happened, I was actually at the range to sight in my AR and just happened to have the shotty in the truck.
But yes, everyone was quite decent about it, and I do believe I'll be going back next weekend... LOL :D

Interesting about the semi VS pump thing. I noticed the fella that had the semi had a tougher time hitting stuff than those with the pumps, or over unders..

Wonder why that would be??? Just bad shots perhaps?? ;)

It's talent, I can miss more with my semi than my o/a then use my pump to miss more yet and move back to the o/a to miss more yet.

Keep practicing and you too can be just like me ;)
