Well I did the dirty deed and ordered the wood for my Envoy clone. So do I just put the wood on and go a shoot'n or is there a proper way to fit the wood? ie barrel pressure, knox form fitting, etc. I've noticed a Mr Ed Horten on another enfield site has done alot of work on these rifles.Just wondering if its worth it and if the shorter stocks are done the same way. Thanks all for your time

The Canadian C.No.4 manual is avail online as a .pdf

Somewhere on the outer edges of the internet there is a site with the armourer's instructions for the full stock C.No.4 rifle and C.No.7 trainer. The L42A1 is not the same, but the hind end of the foreend is. You will learn how to fit the rear surfaces "the draws" from that source. As for the foreend pressure and other nuances of stocking up, you are on your own.

If you pm me with an open email address, I'll send you copies of whatever manuals I have.

Howdy All. The items arrived yesterday. Looks to be in nice shape but the stock is not as depicted in the picture at Numrich. The picture on their site shows the stock as a Enforcer/L39/No 8 style forestock. The one that arrived is the same as the No 5. I previously had asked them on their own internal forum as to the style of the forestock. The answer was "as what is in the picture sir" If anyone wants to see what I got just go to the surplus rifle.com web site and look for the article on converting a No4 to a No5. Guess I should have asked more pointy questions. The other parts that came were as ordered and in great shape. Come monday its back on the phone time. Later
