Okay, Gatehouse and Machinistbutler, here's my Stevens 200 paint job!

If this idea of painting and making your guns stock into a piece of art becomes popular, I could rent out the space on my guns stocks for commercials, and that way make money while hunting :)

Thinking of it, a lots of hunters walks around like commercial billboards for guns, cars and outdoor procucts, for free....

I had to use the search feature to find this thread but here goes. I just wanted to show a couple of pics of my Stevens 200.

Nice going guys, I purchased a can of Krylon paint in Olive Drab, at Canadian tire, to paint my Steven's 200. I am waiting for summer to do the project. I was going for a one color, no pattern job, but you are making my imagination go wild! I like the idea of using branches to form a pattern. Thanks for the concept!

Congrats Ted. That turned out really nice.

I have painted a few stocks as well, but just the solid olive drab and finished with matte clear. Of course I have sold them all off, but I think they are still standing up fine. I think I will try the spruce or cedar branch camo for my 'next' project...whenever that may be.

Haven't used the Fusion on stocks but have used it for other outdoor plastics and is very durable. I think the sealer is for the Krylon textured paints that are intended for indoor use and have used it on stocks with other Krylon paints and is durable. Great looking job.

Very nice work. I was thinking of doing one of mine and now, having seen these pictures, I will definatly give it a go.

I would appreciate some specific info on the paint and sealer used (and where to get them) and some tips on the process itself plus where to get templates for the pattern. I'm sure a lot of cgner's would appreciate a step by step guide!!
Ditto! I've got a Remington 597 on the way, and I would love to give it a "personal touch"!

Did you do the work on these? I was looking to get snow camo on my a-bolt for coyote hunting!

Those are the work of Rick Bin on the 24Hourcampfire forum.
