Anyone on the fence about buying an HP9: DO IT. I've put about 200 rounds through mine with no problems AT ALL.

I have run countless homemade snapcaps through (shells with no powder or primers full of buckshot for weight), and the thing has absolutely never mis fed a single round.

I tend to always run into a Murphy's Law situation when I buy things. But this HP9 has given me great joy. I didn't expect much because I'm so used to being let down when I take risks on products. "Always buy the good stuff" I say as kick myself for buying a less expensive version of something. NOT THIS TIME. This thing goes far above and beyond my expectations. SWEET LITTLE GUN!

Gotta love the HP9
I never regretted the purchase either. It always puts a smile on my face and everybody wants to try it when I bring it out.

I love mine. My limited experience with shotguns suggests that it's pretty heavy, pretty simple, and the finish sucks. Beyond that it's a great gun at the price point. Comparing it with my dad's blued, poly-choked, butter-smooth, lighter Mossberg 500, I'm very happy with the $250 I paid for it.

Everyone loves pictures

I agree also.

I don't have one yet, but I hope to get one as its a great little thing. A buddy and I garburate rounds with his HP9. Only problems I ever had with it was me short-racking it. Ahem. <whistling>

It's true... I have a genuine 14" Remington 870 with Police Wood that I built with all Remington parts, and it came to over $700.

That said, I tried the Norinco before building the 870 up.
