OKO sight for vz

The OKO and clones I have seen had a plastic/alloy body. Because it is a heads up display, that can be broken off 'easily'. They make a steel chassis to protect this from occuring (like for the EOTechs) but have never seen one in person.

Also, this sight uses a laser to shine onto the lense. If dirt/moisture/crud covers the laser lense, you have no sight. The EOTech/aimpoint use an internal lighting system so outside conditions will not stop it from functioning.

On the plus, these sights are very light, low profile and reasonably compact. My experience was positive for holding zero and function. They also make a pressure pad extension.

Personally, if I was to go with this style of heads up dot, I would look at the Tasco Ultima or whatever it has evolved to become. Way smaller in overal length and lighter still. You see these mounted on ACOG's every now and then. Doctor OPtiks makes/offers a clone/same product.

Same style of operation as the OKO but I think they are constant on (good for work, not so good for batteries).

I am waiting to see what the scope makers dream up in 2007. Dots are really hot right now with the US Forces procuring like there is no tomorrow. Civy stuff will come eventually.
