I had a cousin who was going through some old stuff of her late husbands and brought me a mixed bag of 30-06 ammo. Most of it is older soft points of various normal manufacturers, but there's about two dozen FMJ rounds with the WCC 41 headstamp.

A quick google search says it was made by the Western Cartridge Company. I assume the 41 means 1941, or is it more like a model number that is made to the specification that was adopted in 1941?

Is it worth anything to a collector, should it be saved? Is it corrosive and should be avoided unless it's going to be cleaned properly? Is it crappy and should just be used for sighting in a scope or plinking at the range?

I'm sure there's people here who know all about this stuff, so educate me on what i have here.
