A buddy in Winnipeg is going through his father's estate and has some older 30-30 ammo as well as some 12ga stuff to get rid of. No idea how much he might get for 30-30, $10/box maybe?

I'm not sure of age, whether it would be classified as "vintage" or not, but he said there are about 200 rounds, most with some tarnishing to brass. 12ga I'm not sure of.

At the very very least a buck a round.
$10 a box is a gift.

With most centrefire I'd agree, but looking online at Cabelas that 30-30 ammo is comparatively cheap, only $25/box new, I myself wouldn't buy some old tarnished stuff for $20/box. Maybe $15, not sure. Might just be the excuse I've been looking for to pick up an old Model 94, lol.

I'd buy it at $10 a box for plinking.

Why do I say plinking? Because with the advent of LeverEvolution ammunition, I think there are better choices for hunting & accuracy nowadays.

Not that there is anything wrong with the old stuff...

Cheers
Jay

I paid $15.00 a box for some old Dominion 270 ammo at the last gun show I went to.
