Hi: I have some old 8mm mauser ammo made in Czeck imported by century arms in montreal. it is boxer primed and has very pointed military ball ammo[sivler bullets]anyone familiar with this that can tell me if i should shoot them up to get the brass or knock them apart[due to mercury primers etc]? Thank's Dan

Century hasn't neen in Montreal for about 25 years or so. If you haven't shot any how do you know it's boxer primed? It is very likely to be corrosively primed though. So clean accordingly.

I had some 8mm Czech ammo with the steel bullets awhile back and I liked it. Hardly any FTF's and it was quite accurate. Just pour some boiling water down the bore after shooting then clean normally and you shouldn't have any problems due to the corrosive elements of the ammo.
