Old Ammuniton Question ?

I've seen ammo that age at gun shows quite a bit. It usually goes for 10-25% more than the modern equivalents. People buy it more for display purposes than real collectors value.

The C-I-L stuff is Canadian-made and is some of the best ammo ever made, anywhere.

The box of .303 Savage likely will pick up 50 bucks or better on its own. Hasn't been made for a coon's age, still lots of old rifles around.

As to the .22s, Whizz-bang was their HV load, Super-clean was their Standard velocity load: very damned accurate, made old Cooeys sit up and do tricks.

You have a couple boxes of .22 LONG in there: really hard to find these days: a Long Rifle casing with a Short slug. Came out in the 1860s, made in Canada until 1968.

All great stuff! If it's dead weight to you, I could dispose of it for you;) that old whiz bang and imperial ammo is great stuff!

i will gladly shoot it for you if you wish to dispose of it. The 3030 ammo would be a fun range day and source of brass. Ive got boxes and boxes of those shotshells, they're also Canadian made. Great shells.

I've got several boxes of those purple shells (12 gauge) in AAA and SSG, they are great ammo but I don't hunt deer with buckshot and, of course, they can't be used for migratory anymore - so, what to do with them? The AAA was very effective on geese back in the day.

coyote shooting? Otherwise you could sell them (lots of collectors & nostalgia seekers out there) and buy new stuff

The shotgun ammo is cool and I for one have always has a soft spot for it but for some reason is has never been seen as a collectable. Some older two piece boxes yes will bring some good dollars especialy in the small guages but imperial as shown normally sell in ther 7-10 dollar range for a box of 25 12ga
Cheers
